You know, thinking about that fight right now, I think Vinny actually goes the distance with Jackson, like Thomas Tate.

It would have been certainly a great fight. Jackson would not be able to take Vinny out with one punch, I'll tell you that. He'd have to work for that win, but he'd earn it either by late stoppage or wide unanimous decision.

I don't see this at all. Jackson can take out ANYONE with one punch and could certainly do so with Old Roid Gut.

Dont get me wrong. Jackson beats him, badly...but if Vinny took all those shots before getting stopped by Roy......

Jackson hit every bit as hard as Roy if not harder and... he was just as quick to the target. Even Mike McCallum said that Julian threw the fastest punches he had ever taken, that it was the quickness with which they got to target that shook him. I just don't see a lightweight taking that sort of heat, especially one as limited as Paz.

Jackson was one of the hardest punchers of all-time, name one fighter that didn`t stop Vinny that had Jackson`s punch power.

Jackson was the perfect finisher, Roy was wary of Vinny but Jackson would have just went for the kill from the start.

Or Haugen v. Chris Calvin, Jimmy Paul, or Pazienza 2.
Right on! I've just been re-watching Greg's fights, and I've been struck by his all-around ringcraft.
It was only by virture of his exceptional body-punching that he was able to cut down these physically superior fighters to size. His inside ability wasn't appreciated at the time and that was why he was able to upset so many favored fighters.

The only one of those fights I saw live was the Paul one.

The Calvin fight was not transmitted on Puerto Rican TV and the Pazienza 2 one, I was stupidly enough hanging out with my cliche that night.

The only one I saw live was the Paz 2 fight. This documentary is worth watching. It has significant footage of quite a few of Haugen's key fights. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/greg-haugen-documentary-el-loco-americano.684487/

James Toney did a number on Prince Charles from the inside. Worked him over for 11 rounds then comes off the ropes in the 12th to KO Williams with an overhand right.
