Was watching Sanchez-Gomez last night and the pre-fight battle of the bands was hilarious, great atmosphere. This content is protected Anyone else got some examples of crazy doings before the fight starts?
This content is protected I love this one. Ali was definitely a "showman" and knew how to entertain the audience. Notice how Foreman and Frazier got into the spirit of the joke, and treated each other with much courtesy. I love the moment at 01:33, when Frazier takes off his jacket to "fight" Ali. The audience goes to delirium and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Great times and great fighters!
I always liked Ali going over and rubbing Shaver's bald head. Earnie being the nice guy he was, did not let it bother him at all. For post fight Ali, it was his antics over Lubbers.
Tony Galento vs Louis at the final ref instructions mid ring, Galento started complaining that there was too much grease on the champion’s face and insisted on wiping some off. He wiped his gloves across Joe Louis’ face and through his hair. Not best in ring pre fight ceremony but it nearly had biggest affect upon a result, as Louis still angry at Galento, he forgot his game plan for a moment, result being he ate a telegraphed hard left rocking him to his core.
