Hatton and Ward but no Duran? I think Dempsey was the best in-fighter at heavyweight. As previously mentioned Duran was excellent. Chavez was also great.

i liked chavez's jab and hook technique. he had a very underegarded jab which he would to the body then would go on top that would catch you almost everytime. also his jab to the head then flip it down to the body was a thing of sweetness form one of the most unflashiest fighters i have seen

    Hatton's infighting is poor.

Marciano was pretty tricky in his own right, always moving his head on the inside, and MAKING openings to land his right hand. I saw the Main Event with Marciano as host, and he was talking about how in his championship rein, he would make openings. Go for the body and there arms may go down, or go for the head, and perhaps they leave there body open.

Regarding sneaky tricks; Fritzie Zivic was a genius at butting a fighter's eye open by slipping a lead, wrapping his gloves around the back of the opponent's head and pulling the other guy's eye down onto the top of his head...

The refs rarely caught on to that one...

McClellan was a beast on the inside.
