Best Jab Ever?

  1. Not the best ever by a long shot - but Calzaghe's jab is very good... I believe when he utilised it - Pep had a very decent jab?

Lennox Lewis is one of them. He uses his reach well to set up his big punch.

Holmes had the best jab in history. And if you want to see a Textbook example of how to utilize the jab to set up punches, watch round 10 of Douglas-Tyson.

I don't think it's a P4P argument at all. P4P Holyfield wins hands down. Heavyweight career however, goes to Lewis. Two totally different categories.

If it was close, then why the universal outrage?? It was about a 10-2 perhaps 9-3 type fight..which isn't close at all.

That's a good list. Heavy weights are funny, they get voted for different reasons. Speed, Ali, Power, Liston, a combination Holmes and Lewis.

Lesser weights tend to focus more on the speed/power combo. Hearn had a great, great jab, as did Leonard. Hagler had so may tools a jab was only one of many of his weapons, as think applies to Louis, or Jones. It's pretty much impossible to be considered an ATG and not have a hell of a jab.
