Of those that haven't been mentioned I would nominate Ricardo Lopez and Buchanan.

Willie Pastrano...he had an EXCELLENT jab...more like a points scoring rapier than an offensive, "set you up for a ko" type of jab.

Carlos Monzon had a very effective long jab.

Mark Breland had the hardest lb4lb, Roy Jones the fastest lb4lb against Paz.

    beat me to it, Dubois.

Fighting Harada is the jab master general.

This clip displays how effective it was against another prime great. One of the classic's favourites, Eder Jofre

Yes...you're damned right about Harada..he wasn't just a "windmill" puncher..look at his use of the jab..one of the best fighters I've ever seen at any weight.

Agreed but Lennox half prefered brawling to jabbing, Mercer/Holyfield/Bruno took his jab away to an extent but partly due to his own choice

Yes he does but have you noticed in answer to 'who had the best ever 'insert boxing talent' 99 times out of a 100 you answer MONZON. No offense RC but you come across as somone who's not only hated the last 20years of boxing but hated the last 20 years of life

I'm not the only one who feels that way PP..and I hope you notice that I named Willie Pastrano first..but to be honest, I'm not as fond of modern day boxing as I am the old days..I guess that's why I dwell mostly in the Classic forum. I know this...I really rub a few of you guys the wrong way by even bringing up Monzon..that court jester Itrimariti is due to pop up shortly, you can bet.
Truthfully though PP, I don't either hate life or the past 20 years of boxing though...that's a little extreme. Sorry, but let's agree to disagree if necessary, but I assure you, I don't exactly hate the scene today, not with greats like Pacman, MAB, and the brilliant Nonito Donaire around.

I think Thomas Hearns deserves a mention, he shot it upstairs and downstairs...
