I just finished rewatching Winky Wright v. Trinidad. This fight always stood out to me as the most effective use of the jab (especially a southpaw jab) that I've ever seen. Winky completely befuddled Trinidad and made him look like a fool in there. What I'm wondering is what are some other matches I should look at to see one fight completely school another with their jab (bonus points if its a southpaw). Not fighters with great jabs, but fights.
Foreman VS Chuvalo Foreman VS Frazier 2 Old Foreman VS Holyfield (even though George lost) Bummy Douglas VS Tyson Lenny Lewis VS Tua I like long, hard jabs.
Oscar DLH vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez, at 140. Also, Buddy McGirt fought a southpaw...Kevin Watts, I think...gave up several inches in height and still landed something like 200 jabs in 12 rounds.
i'll just bet you do as for the thread my favourite two have always been: 1)jones-pazienza (say what you want about paz, he was COMPLETELY dominated and destroyed by the jab, by a fighter who never even used a jab much) 2)harada-jofre 1
John Conteh vs. Yaqui Lopez Emile Griffith vs. Eckhard Dagge (Griffith robbed) Michael Spinks vs. Dwight Qawi
