I just finished rewatching Winky Wright v. Trinidad. This fight always stood out to me as the most effective use of the jab (especially a southpaw jab) that I've ever seen. Winky completely befuddled Trinidad and made him look like a fool in there.

What I'm wondering is what are some other matches I should look at to see one fight completely school another with their jab (bonus points if its a southpaw). Not fighters with great jabs, but fights.

Old Foreman VS Holyfield (even though George lost)

    Bummy Douglas VS Tyson

    Lenny Lewis VS Tua

    I like long, hard jabs.

Oscar DLH vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez, at 140. Also, Buddy McGirt fought a southpaw...Kevin Watts, I think...gave up several inches in height and still landed something like 200 jabs in 12 rounds.

    Holmes vs Norton

You can't have a jab discussion and not mention Holmes.

    i'll just bet you do:cool:

as for the thread my favourite two have always been:

1)jones-pazienza (say what you want about paz, he was COMPLETELY dominated and destroyed by the jab, by a fighter who never even used a jab much)

    2)harada-jofre 1

    Hearns against Hill.

One of his best, even outwith his prime.

    Good pick.

Wasn't so much a commanding jab as it was an incredibly rhythm-upsetting one.
