Pov's left hook is ATG in the HW division. Astonishingly versatile and devastating.

Whyte's left hook is PED powered. When he's on that juice he punches harder with the left than anyone.

Inoue's left hook is P4P the best in the sport. He's a tiny little transgender looking dude and makes shotgun noises every time he lands on a target. In the words of the immortal Tony Bellew, "That's POWAH."

It was a rare, 8 second coma. Irishmen get that all the time, but it's usually caused by whiskey.

He did drop Molina with a great left hook, although I agree with your point

Hence I gave him 9.5 instead of the full 10 but when he does land with it.. it is superhuman

He lifted AJs entire body with it

When comparing Povetkin's to Whyte's, I notice two things. #1 Povetkin is much better at leading with it, making it more versatile and #2 Whyte's entire stance is built of his left hand, but he hasn't mastered the basic fundamentals of his best punch.

Povetkin's lead hook was excellent, nice and short, as well as very accurate and powerful. Remember him brutally KOing guys like Takam, Duhaupas and Price? Yeah, that type of power. He doubled and tripped up on it and level changed nicley, as well as chaining it off the jab, squared up to throw it right and chained it with head-movement pretty well too. Tbh I can't really think of a time where he used as counter going backwards, but he didn't really fight going backwards so I wouldn't.

Whyte has a ****ing killer left hook when it lands, but that's the issue. He doesn't force it too land, he waits for it too. Look against Rivas, Rivas used his right hand to keep it off him and moved to his left to take the power out of it and Whyte didn't get that one punch KO like (I) was predicting. Whyte has a lot to learn, and isn't getting younger, if he wanted that left hook to be ATG, he'd have learned to hook of the jab, feint with it, lead with it (without looking ridiculously clumsy), shorten it ect ect. It isn't refined, just raw. He has shown the ability to do some of this though, as the hook that KOed Browne was of a jab and was on offence, but one time isn't enough.

So, based of Devastating Effects when it lands flush, Whyte = Povetkin, but Povetkin landed it more. But nowadays he's nowhere near as good with it.
    So Whyte >>>

Hmm not sure about that. Inoue does throw a very good left hook to the body but to say it is 'much' better than Canelos is a strong statement to make, one that I don't have enough confidence in, to hold my hand up and agree to.

Good assessment sir, I fully agree

Povetkins is a thing of beauty .. the power speed and technicality of his delivery

Whyte has a lot to learn and I dont know how much more he can improve it but I know that he has become adept and varying the speed and power of his jab which he leads off to land a strong left hook or cross but because he doesnt lead with his hook like povetkin he doesnt give himself the chance to vary its hooks speed so he can double and triple up and land it more consistently.. he uses it as a cannon and Rivas proved it can be evaded and even Chisora has success ad evading with his constant peak a boo style ducking and dipping

Id say they are equal overall pov and whyte.. lets hope Whyte can continue to evolve it
