Best left jabs

I just listed HW's, but discounting that these guys are definitely amongst the elitist jabbers from any division, in boxing history. Period. :good

 

The best Hagler ever looked with his jab was probably the Sibson fight.

Mugabi and Hamasho I were also very good jabbing displays. That was his best punch.

 

Man Listons jab is ****ing scary. Its like a torpedo that goes trough you, it doesn't just hit you, it goes trough you.

 

Hagler's jab was at its brilliant best against Sibson.

But I would not count his display against Mugabi. He was being outboxed over the first 6 rounds, and only when Mugabi started to slow did Hagler begin to dominate the fight. Experience was also a major coup for Hagler's victory.

 

That describes Holmes jab perfectly. Larry's jab was the most effective, and it was damn near as fast, if not as fast as Ali's, but it was just as hard as Liston's. Larry knocked Ocasio down with a jab. Chuvalo said that he when he fought Ali, he saw it coming, just there wasn't anything to do about it, because it was too late, but it didn't hurt and wasn't powerful. With Larry, it knocked the oppenents heads back or to the side. It broke their noses, busted them up. Made them think twice about comming in for the attack. If your going to hit him, you can't be afraid to eat a lot of leather.

 

De La Hoya has a great jab as well. Some of the jabs he cracked through Trinidad's high guard had alot behind them. Mayweather never liked it much over the first 8 rounds.

 

Holmes is my favourite heavyweight of all-time, and he's among my personal favourites as well.

Ha! Holmes' jab definetely wasn't harder than Liston's. George Foreman's jab wasn't even harder than Liston's jab.

For heavyweights, I would say Wladimir Klitschko's left jab has to be top 10. It comes out fast, snappy, and powerful. His jab isn't as good as Holmes, Liston's, or Ali's, but it's damn good.

 

Larry knocked a guy out with a jab, and put Ocasio on the canvas with one. That jab put Ocasio on ***** street too. Foreman's jab was more of a glorified push, in his come back he turned it more into a jab, but still it was more like a push than anything.

 

Wow he knocked down Ocasio with a jab, that doesn't take much because Ocasio sucked.

 

Cobb wasn't the best, but look at his chin. You could be the worst fighter ever and be 0-500, but never get knocked down. Just because you suck, doesn't mean your easy to knock down.

 

Ali knocked down a 250+lb. man with a jab, but nobody is saying his jab had the most power, are they?
