Nice picks. I really liked Jones/Tarver 1 as well.

And it has to Toney/Jirov, for me. That was such an epic fight. I was really big on Jirov and Toney had looked so bad his last fights. A pleasant surprise of a fight.

    JC Gomez---Ice Cole.

The Holyfield/Qawi 2 fight seldom gets mentioned as a top fight rarely gets mentioned anymore, but I really liked it. Their first war started things downhill for 1 guy alright but we knew we were catching a terrific fighter in his incubation period and we the fans were going to be treated to some future A+ performances as well. Commander Vander did some job in that rematch and showed how he went and made adjustments even though he won the first fight. So many guys don't do that. Evander sure did and Qawi really was never in the fight. And that is no easy feat for a guy with so few fights to pull that off against a Qawi.

Another fight rarely mentioned is the lh rematch brawl between Michalczewski and Richard Hall. That was right up there with Chacon and Basilio as far as being busted up bad in the first round and still digging deep to eventually get rid of the opponent 10 rounds later. Hall hit the guy clean with the kitchen sink and hurt him but the guy would not stop or would he even alter his gameplan. Dariusz was open for that nasty right hook the southpaw Hall threw and that's a tough punch to take. But once it hit the second half of the fight that jab was moving Hall all over the place. Then those follow ups eventually got him out of there but that's a tough determined guy to fight that can brawl and box with 2 busted up eyebrows and refuse to go in a shell.

Speaking of which, Daruisz and Adamek would be something to behold at 175 & who wouldn't want to see those hombres trading?

They just ripped off Rocky II!;)

The Light Heavies were super hot in the late 70s/early 80s with Yaqui Lopez around.

At 'Cruiserweight' Holyfield/QawiI (as mentioned) stands out, but David Haye made the division fun again. Suggestive viewing would include Haye/Mormeck.
