Who is the best you would pick him to defeat although his career at light heavyweight was rather short lived?
Tricky question because Moorer could take out just about anyone at light heavy. The combo of his power, fundamentals, speed and southpaw stance is enough to have anyone get caught in a bad place. Also, despite protests of his flimsy mandible, I don't think he was ever KD'd at 175 and did get off the canvas repeatedly to KO a very hard punching heavy in Cooper. As far as the best I would pick him to defeat, I am saying Harold Johnson.
Wasn't he 22-0 (with 22 KOs) at 175? Which is hard to argue with. The only problem was he held the WBO title when that title was next to meaningless andhe never fought anyone significant at the weight. He had the potential to beat lots of fighters, but impossible to say with any certainty whether he could have. I'll go out on a limb and say I think he'd have definitely beaten Virgil Hill!
