I feel Cotto did the absolute best he could against both Margorito and Pac. Most fighters would have quit a lot earlier than where the fight was stopped.

Only because you're an Ali fan. That's bull****, though, honestly. Ali was playing on the ropes and joking around WAY too much. Besides that, how the hell can you list Holyfield vs Bowe III? He tried, but he was clearly exhausted and just couldn't do anything about it. Effort in the literal term, or effort translated into an actual good performance/showing.
lol i remember that. im glad i have that on dvd. i loved vargas man. i think the best in a losing effort tho has to be Norton/Holmes one of the greatest HW fights of all time. atleast IMO
