I've been boxing for about 2 months now so I've definately started getting more toned and building up the muscle but im 5'10 and weigh about 166. im aiming for around 150, maybe 155. I eat healthy and everything have started to do HIIT workouts and all that. Are there any methods other than/in addition to HIIT that seem to work well that dont involve starving yourself?
i dont have a set diet i eat every day but a sample would be: meal 1: protein drink, yogurt and cereal(real cereal with whole grains and all that) meal 2: granola bar, turkey sandwich(very light on mayo and cheese and on whole grain bread) meal 3: tuna or chicken or rarely(once or twice a week) beef/steak, salad not including lots of water. the amounts of what i eat also vary depending on my workout for the day but its pretty constant in terms of being healthy.
There's a number of things you can do to increase your metabolic rate to increase the number of calories you burn. First off instead of having 3 meals a day break your food intake down to 5-6 smaller meals so your body in constantly burning energy. Drink green tea, at least 3 cups a day and only the good organic stuff not the type you get in bags. Adding chilli to your food will also help give a little boost to your metabolic rate.
Work out more. Eat more protein, more vegetables, more fat, less carbs, have no carbs unless it's around a workout. Eat more regularly.
