Mine would be... 1. Roy Jones 2. Bernard Hopkins 3. James Toney 4. Chris Eubank 5. Michael Nunn/Joe Calzaghe 6. Joe Calzaghe/Michael Nunn 7. Nigel Benn
Have to give Kalambay a shout...unfortunately dropped the ball big time against Nunn and thats what he is mostly remembered for. But its important to note that Sumbu holds one of the best wins of that era for me...an absolute schooling of an unbeaten near peak Mike McCallum. Also holds a pretty onesided win over Barkley and was the first to knock off Graham..also from I hear the Kalule fight should have went to him.
yea but i included Calzaghe anyways. I'd like to see people's order of the fighters.......more discussion.....
if you remove the welterweights and junior middles from his "win" Bhops resume takes a bit of a middleweight hit John David Jackson Oscar De La Hoya Felix Trinidad Winky Wright Simon Brown Kelly Pavlik Antonio Tarver Glen Johnson Keith Holmes William Joppy
while nice....but the fact 3 of those defenses were against robert allen 5 or 6 were former welterweights or junior middles 1 was a mandatory in Morrade Hakkar , who no one had ever heard of...and ran and never threw but a handful of punches other crap defenses against guys like William BO James, Steve Frank , Andrew Council its not all cut and dry...if you werent around to watch most of this garbage on tv, then you would know somehow he never fought at least 1 or 2 of these guys at some point Benn, Eubank, Nunn, Toney, Steve Collins, Mike McCallum, Reggie Johnson
