    I think Patterson has a good shot at beating almost all of the light heavyweight greats. If he stayed at that weight instead of moving up to HW, he might've been the LHW GOAT.

    Well he beat a very ancient Archie Moore, could he repeat it against a younger Moore at Light Heavyweight ? Possibly.

    Would be interesting, a fight between the two at lightheavy. Moore a little younger, more comfortable at the weight.
    I'd say its a bit more competitive at least.

    He goes from top 15-20 hw to top 10 all time lhw. I think he would still have issues with modern LHWs from a size perspective

    On the surface I think he had the ability to beat the vast majority of them. But I’m not certain how long or how well he could have maintained being at 175 nor how staying there might have effected him.

    For me it’s not just the lure of facing bigger men or making more money. It’s how staying at 175 or lower might effect him in the ring.

    Yep, he'd grow out eventually. But I can see him winning a title at lightheavy and maybe being dominant in the division for a few years at least.
    Wonder how the heavyweight division pans out after rocky in his absence!

    I think his chin would have been cracked by all of them. I don't see him standing a chance against any of the them.

    I never thought all that highly of him. nor Jose Torres.

    I think both the light heavy Michael Spinks and Saad Muhammad would have been very serious challenges to Floyd's chin.
