    When the American national anthem is sang right, without too much R and B bull**** in it it can be a pretty song.

    Although I have heard a good version that was R&B in harmony, and I liked it.... I just don't like all that Ashanti ****.

    The American anthem is actually an old British drinking society song, written by an English man.

    The Anacreontic Song.

    it was really bad on some of those don king drawn out showtime fights from back in the day...heaven forbid the fighters were from 2 different countries...and i few times i heard them play the god damn refs national anthem...so there were 3 in a row!!!

    This version's pure and simple, but it was nice. Much better than when "pros" do it.

    By the way. The American anthem is good when not sung by RnB singers - just keep it simple. Having said that, I'm waiting for the first person to rap it.
