there was a boxer nicknamed "the Crack Burglar" he was 5'4" middleweight undefeated I think about 4 years ago. russian or some foreign speaking country.
Al "ice" Cole Charles "the hatchet" Brewer Jeff "left hook" Lacy wasn't bad I guess, although it did alert a guy on what to look out for. Maurice 'the thin man' Blocker - wtf?! It was pretty cool when a prime Terry Norris would etch "Terrible" into the back of his hair.
Owen WHAT THE HECK Beck is by far the best. . . Don't kid yourselves. . . . Robert "don't lose" Daluz coming in a close second. . . Ironically, "don't lose" has lost 42 times in 60 some fights . . . Best boxer name, as in REAL name: "Mike Mcfail"
I remember watching a fight when I was a younger with my father on ESPN. They were basically pretty much no-names, but one of them had the nickname "Punches in Bunches", which we got a major kick out of. During a commercial break we flipped channel. When we came back, a different fight was on: Me: "What happened to Punches in Bunches?" Dad: "He must've won with a Flurry in a Hurry!" Man we laughed at that. Boxing brings back some pretty fond memories.
I remember "Punches in Bunches" but can't remember his real name. This was about 10 years ago, right?
The bodysnatcher is by far the best nick name in the game......and was more than fitting for the man who was tied to it.
Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran Tommy "The Hit Man" Hearns Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini Willie "the Sandman" (because he puts them to sleep) Edwards Juan "The Hispanic Causing Panic" Lazcano
