    its alittle early...but heres my recap of 2007....this is my own opinion... answer back with you OWN list...and dont ***** about why "this person is fighter of the year"blah blah..this is MY opinion...here it goes...

    Fight of the Year: PAVLIK VS. TAYLOR
    Round of the Year: MARQUEZ VS. VASQUEZ 2 round 3
    Knockout of the Year: DONAIRE KO5 DARCHINYAN
    Fighter of the Year: KELLY PAVLIK
    Comback of the Year: HENRY MASKE (Maske came back after 10 years to beat the
    only man thats ever beat him, Virgil Hill)
    Slugfest of the Year: BELL VS. MORMECK 2
    Biggest Robbery of the Year: DIAMOND VS. HUERTA (last minute replacement
    journeyman with 9 losses took the fight to kid diamond all night, whacking
    him, denting, him, knocking him down, even almost knocking him out, then the
    judges pulled out their guns and JACKED Huerta in one of the worst robberies
    ive ever seen in my life)
    Worst Fight of the Year: TAYLOR VS. SPINKS (need I say more?)
    Biggest Upset of the Year: MIJARES W12 ARCE
    Bloodiest Mug of the Year: JORGE ARCE (when he lost against Christian Mijarez)
    Best Performance : KELLY PAVLIK (when he knocked out Miranda)
    Best News: Larry Merchant stays
    Worst News: Chico's departure
    Biggest Mismatch: CALZAGHE VS. MANFREDO (eventhough it was a premature
    stoppage, it was overwhealmingly one sided in Calzaghe's favor)
    Best Division: Welterweight
    Worst Division: Heavyweight

    I'll leave the ones I agree with in caps.

    Fight of the Year: Marquez/Vasquez 2
    Round of the Year: MARQUEZ VS. VASQUEZ 2 round 3
    Knockout of the Year: Ding KO Nwodo
    Fighter of the Year: KELLY PAVLIK (but if Hatton wins, it's Hatton, and if Hatton loses and Cotto wins, it's Cotto)

    Biggest Robbery of the Year: Hopkins v. Forbes
    Worst Fight of the Year: Curtis Stevens v. Andre Dirrell; Yuri Foreman vs. Anthony Thompson 2nd. Taylor/Stinks a distant third, although I heard that Sprott fight was worse also.

    good list.

    i like vasquez-marquez 2 for fight of the year though. round 2 of pavlik-miranda is a good contender for round of the year, good exchange of power shots there. glass jaw of the year will probably go to fraudley.

    Very good picks...

    For straight cross, I might go with either Pavlik, Kessler, or Klitschko. For the heavyweight dream matchup, I would put Chagaev in place of Peter. Iron chin is a good pick - Andrade deserves a mention too.

    And as far as prospect of the year? You are spot on...
