Pernell Whitaker>Roy Jones for one. Over Ketchell for another. Over Saddler and Wilde. Over Burley(but I know that ain't happening). Further proof that Pea is still underrated, even on here, where he seems to get more credit.

    And Tunney over Wilde.

Also, why Ketchell but not Fitzsimmons? Why not one of the most overlooked fighters of all time, Barbados Joe Walcott?

Really? Better than Roy? Really? Roy was a heavyweight beltholder, all the way up from Middle, he's the popular choice for most athletically talented of all time, you think that's just mostly glitz and glamour?

You're ****ing right Jones doesn't go in over Burley, and he doesn't go in over Saddler either unless he beats Calzaghe! I switched him and Ketchell a couple of times, no problem with that shout really.

Tell me the lowest acceptable - acceptable mind - slot you see for Pernell using my list as a jump off. Then, highest defendable (keeping in mind i recently moved Burley out of my top 10 ;)

Fair shout, they are now one all.

Completely forgot about Fitz again. I did this last time. BJW is there or thereabouts, I rate him very highly at WW, he just misses out.

Never said it was all glitz and glamour, just not as good as what Pea accomplished. Look over their resumes and top wins, Pea holds the clear edge. Pea was known for fighting all the best, at any stage of his career, Roy, not so much. I rate Roy exceptionally high head to head, just as I rate Pea. But in terms of resume, Pea holds the clear edge.

    I was talking about Whitaker.

Are you drunk again? You're not making much sense.

This is a compisite list. So all things are accountable (apart from the birth of Bob Fitzimmons

No just kidding. I'm obsessed with Burley like you are with Sweet Pea.

Let's have it - lowest acceptable, highest defendable.

    For Pea?

Lowest acceptable? He has top be top 20 for me.

Highest defendable? Top 10. It is somewhat defendable, I've done it before. I have no problem with Whitaker ranking around #16 or #17 though if you choose to do so.

Nobody here knows absolutely jack ****.

Putting Mayweather Jr in the top 5 p5p fighters of all time? Are you all absolutely raving mad. The guys best wins consist of Corrales, Hatton, De La Hoya, and Baldomir. **** off with mentioning Mayweather Jr in the top 5. It's embarassing. We all have our own criteria; longevity, dominance, ability to move weight classes, unbeaten records - whatever. But at the end of the day, the only way to truely measure a fighters greatness is by analysing their competition.

    1. Sugar Ray Robinson
    2. Muhammad Ali
    3. Roberto Duran

Admitedly their are names like Willie Pep, Henry Armstrong, and Sam Langford missing but that's because I can't rank fighters I've never seen fight. I've never really even see them on film like Robinson. What I can probably guess though is that non of those fighters I just mentioned ducked and dived their way through their careers, fighting hasbeens and avoiding clearing out their division.

I think 10 is far to high. Anything between 20 and 28 would sit easy with me but I guess that is far, far to low for you.

Why do you think he's so underated (if he is)?
