    How are people putting:
Hopkins vs Trinidad over performances like Floyd vs Corrales, EM vs Pac I, JMM vs Pac I, Pac vs Hatton, etc

Trinidad was never anything at Middleweight. Tito was who he was because of WW and Lght Middle. I'm not saying it wasn't a great performance, but lets be serious and honest here...Tito was the much smaller man and Hopkins was expected to win.

Floyd moving up and anniahlating a P4P fighter in Corrales is more impressive.
EM and JMM doing what they did against Pacman in his prime is MUCH more impressive to me.

Bull****, Bernard had beaten nobody of note and Tito was moving up in weight beating people down. Did you follow boxing in 2001?
Tito was a clear favorite, my boy put $50 on Bernard by KO and won $550.
    Tito was paying like 4/1.

Floyd didn't move up to fight Corrales.

In fact, Corrales struggled like hell to make 130 for that fight and first weighed-in at 132 and had to hit the sauna

Did I follow boxing back then? Dude take a step back and look at the big picture here. Tito Trinidad will not go down as a top 100 middleweight! So the BEST performance of the decade is a victory by arguably one of the 3 best middleweights of all time over a blown up welterweight??? That's what you're telling me :deal It just doesn't make sense now does it?

My bad, but it doesn't matter. So forget about this one performance. JMM vs Pac, EM vs Pac, Pac vs Hatton, Pac vs Cotto! those are all better performances.

Please everyone give Hopkins nuts a rest. The guy is an all time great, yeah, He is definitely a top 5 middleweight but Trindidad will not go down in history as anything at middleweight.

The best performance of the decade was not a man that started at Lt Heavy, made his career at Middle beating a man who made his name and legacy at WW and only beat Joppy at Middle. Sorry.

Haha, I think you need to go into a corner and have a little word with yourself, Pacquiao has been lucky in his last 3 or 4 fights and it will get shown on March 13th when Mayweather takes the **** out of him and proves he was the fighter of the 00s.

Yeah, and many people picked Hatton to beat pac and floyd and picked pavlik to beat Hops and picked Gatti to beat Floyd. In time you see that hype and fighter worship can hide what's real. Tito at Middleweight was not much of a threat to Hopkins.

Two other words - SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE!!

He has came close to losing. Fact. In fact, he did lose it, but the judges robbed JLC.

So you are honestly saying to me that you think Bernard beating Tito was more impressive than a past prime Morales beating prime pac (a man the majority are placing as the fighter of the decade)????

Pacquiao has a better resume than Mayweather, and has proven to be the superior weight-jumper. On achievements, he has Floyd beat. That's why he will be forever recognized as THE Fighter of the 2000s.

I don't think you understand, Hopkins had beaten a list of (at the time) no names, was an ESPN fighter. The Middleweight tourny was made, nobody thought Hopkins would come out on top of the pile.

It was a major upset man, bookies paid out A LOT of cash.
