A poll for each division to decide who has been the best of each weight category in the first decade of the new millenium according to ESB users.
First category - The heavyweight division

I dont know who to pick, i mean Lewis didnt even make it through the first half of the decade. I guess im stuck with Vlad, or Vitali if he gets some more fights in in the next year

    1. Wlad - six years of dominance out of 9, hasn't looked beatable for four years.
    2. Lennox - finishing off his career but the win against Vitali gives him a great 2000s
    3. Vitali - hasn't been on the scene as much as his younger bro, but looks as close to unbeatable as you can be, came back after a long lay off to beat the **** out of Sam Peter, just took down Arreola and if he gets a chance at Haye, you best believe Haye won't last 4.

It's very tough decision. Lennox was at the end of his career and had that 1 horrible loss to somebody he should have beat. He did avenge that though in his next fight so that helps him out.

Wlad got bombed by a bum in 2 rounds to somebody he shouldn't have lost to and never avenged that loss. He also lost was to Brewster who is a decent fighter and he did avenge that loss.

Vitali's first fight in the 2000's started off rocky by quitting against Byrd who he was dominating. He also got beat by Lennox and never avanged that loss so that automatically takes him off the list.

So, it comes down to Wlad or Lennox.....I would go with Lennox Lewis as Heavyweight fighter of the decade.

Edit- Next time show who picks who. I mean really John Ruiz?? WTF?

Lennox and Holyfield are ATG, but they had their decade in the 90s. Vitali would have been my choice, if not for the 4-year-gap. Wlad is the most consistent of the fighters of this decade here.

Lennox was the best HW to have fought in the time span, and he did so for 3 years, so it's not as if he just squeeked in. Sure the Klits have spent a longer time at top, but they certainly haven't been as good as Lennox was in the beginning years of the decade.
