Even a higher than the win over MAB himself . . . you logic has been throughout that the person that wins regardless of circumstances deserve credit . . . so how can a win H2H not trump everything else?

Absolutely, of course JMM deserves credit for beating Barrera. A no brainer. However, anyone who has followed their careers and knows anything about Boxing knows that MAB had seen better days and wasn't at his best in 2007, whereas I would argue JMM was hitting his peak. I would attribute MAB's decline not only for the fact he turned professional at age 15, but also because he fought a higher level of competition more consistantly than JMM prior to 2003. For those reasons, MAB's victories over Morales are greater and more significant.

As a side note, don't put an exclamation point on all of your posts with silly **** like "checkmate!" It's horrendous. We're here for a discussion.

Morales is my favourite. Would have been great to see him against Hamed instead of Barrera.

All 3 were great fighters and were great for the sport.Hamed fans love to say Hamed was great for the sport,but these 3 were the real deal.They all brought something different to the table.Would have love to have seen JMM and Erik fight.

 

I bet if I make a thread who ranks higher barrera or marquez barrera would come out on top.
Morales is the right answer though.
