That's a two punch combination but i think that the op refers to a classic one two combination (jab-cross).
Joe Louis Alexis Arguello Sugar Ray Leonard Pernell Whitaker Marvin Hagler Michael Nunn Recently Adonis Stevenson has a good one two
Hearns, a lightning quick left jab , followed by possibly the most lethal straight right hand in boxing history pound for pound.
i never saw it but Peter Jackson's 1-2 was his signature punch and as famous as anyone's. Most fighters were known for a left hook, or a right cross. Few if any are associated with the old one-two. Jackson through it so often and succesfully he was accuased of having no decent left hook. He denied this, but pointed out that there was no point in throwing a left hook if they couldnt get past his straight one two combination. Bob Fitzsimmons had the right cross or solar plexus punch followed by the left shift which demolished more top contenders than probably any other fighter in history. Jack Johnson had an interesting one. I once read an article he wrote, where he explained that the old 1-2 was really an uppercut thrown to the solar plexus which would double a fighter over followed by an uppercut to the chin. Almost in the one punch. I cant think of this 12 being used extensively by any modern fighters, but it probably should be.
