Just saw the Ward vs Pudwill and Kessler vs Perdomo fights side by side and Ward was clearly more dominating than Kessler but against what opponent? Ward was fighting a chance less Pudwill who sought to not to look to bad in a tiny ring. Kessler was fighting a 100% committed Perdomo who really tried his best to upset Kessler

    Kessler is much better.
He did look a lil rusty at teh begining but once he got that jab going and set up the right it was over for Perdomo.

Pedromo only losses came against Mario Veit and Dimitri Sartison who were two former world title challengers and even then the losses were very close decisions.

Pudwills losses were KO losses to John Duddy and guys I havent even heard of and the guy has never thought anywhere near world level.

Pedromo fought up the ranks to become mandatory challenger for the WBA belt whilst Pudwill was just another warm up opponent for another prospect

Is the Ward fight on youtube?

Kessler looked pretty bad the 1st 2 rounds, but he seemed to get his act together by the 3rd. I was pretty disappointed at the stoppage because Kessler was just starting to become dominating and I wanted to see how he would do once he'd shaken off the ring rust. Oh well.

Only boxing fans have to be asked to make a difference between a tune-up and a world title opponent...

... and it seems some manage to fail.

Pudwell is the type of bum that Perdomo built up his record on.

patience isnt a way to look bad.
kessler took his time in the first 2 rounds but i agree the stopage was premature, even though it wouldn't have changed anything.

    perdomo was gone.

I agree I didn't think Kessler looked bad at all. Ward looked kind of bad when he got countered flush by Pudwill but those things happen when you are stressing for a knockout.

I'll admit I haven't seen much of Kessler's fights so I guess I was expecting more considering he's the favorite for many to win the super six.

Yeah, no way Perdomo would turn it around, but still, it's fun watching dominating performances. Does Kessler punch that hard? He didn't land all that much but Perdomo really looked like he was on his way out.
