But that's where Wilder has some leverage. If they want to fight each other next which lets be honest is the most lucrative option then that's the sacrifice they'll need to make to side step Wilder. Right now Wilder has a bargaining position where he can dictate terms as he has that rematch clause, they can't do anything without him agreeing it. So while obviously Fury and Joshua would want a rematch clause it would have to stipulate it would only happen once the winner beats Wilder in a mandated fight.
What does Martin bring to the table? Whyte would bring by far the bigger payday over Martin as well as more credit should he beat him. All Martin brings is the fact he's another Haymon heavyweight so they can keep it all in house and Haymon benefits even when one of this fighters lose, because one of his fighters also win and can use that to move forward. Whyte on the other hand poses too big a threat after such a crushing defeat. So while I agree Martin would be a smarter option as an interim fight, it's not because Whyte brings nothing, it's because Whyte could put the final nail in the coffin of Wilder's career if he beats Wilder.
I agree with everything except the "he is not going to beat Fury" part. This is boxing, he has maybe a 10% chance that Fury comes in lazy and he lands the right hand.
Charles Martin or Joseph Parker, Parker and Wilder will both be ready around July or August, could also fight Adam Kownacki but all three would be good comeback fights.
Where does it end? If fury beats AJ and then fights wilder again and wilder wins. Does fury get ANOTHER shot at him? Thru will be 1 win a piece and a draw. When does AJ get a rematch ? No way the majority champ is taking any fights without a clause
Exactly, so he needs a static target for that missile of a right...I reckon 3 Roid failure Fatboy Miller is that man....how on earth he managed to get a title shot at all was mystery , so Wilder, no suit, no head garb ,no robe...just walk in & boom ...no more Miller.
Ah lonely little troll has turned , its bored as it can't go out after its surgery. At the moment its a he/she...wid a big mowt N no brain...fack orft troll
Wilder never mentions Whyte. He wants no part of him. Martin on the undercard of Fury v Joshua is perfect.
Only on paper. Usyk has done nothing at Heavyweight yet and the general public have no interest. He is also signed to Fast Eddie who will control all the logic.
Wilder's entire career, other than arguably Stiverne and Ortiz, was "easy work." Never has a top rated fighter faced easier comp on the way up.
It's unrealistic to not expect some unjustified abuse when you put yourself on such a high profile platform. You should be prepared for it and if you are unable to deal with that, you shouldn't put yourself in that position. Loop...just sayin...hope the Ops are a success ...
