BEST OVERALL – Curry: The best overall game belonged to Donald Curry. He could do a bit of everything.
According to Michael Nunn, how good was Curry at 160?
The scorecards for Toney v Nunn were roughly the same as for Nunn v Curry, Nunn was way ahead in both fights before each respective fight ended.

Judge: Dalby Shirley 98-92 Judge: Gary Merritt 97-93 Judge: Bob Watson 99-91
All three judges in favour of Nunn over Toney.

He could have been talking about the best of Curry at 147 Mark and marking him as an overall fighter rather than the one he shared the ring with. He also could be withholding credit from someone that beat him.

Definitely one of those ones you go nuh to.

What's the point here? Curry was top class. Toney still KTFO Nunn even with the score lead. Are you comparing Toney and Nunn's skillsets?

I believe he's trying to make sense of Nunn, in The Best I've Faced article, picking Curry.

Nunn does give Toney the smartest.

Like most boxers ...Michael Nunn probably believes that on his best night ,no one could beat him ....so his toughest opponent is not going to be someone that he lost to

I’d be willing to bet that if someone would’ve asked Emile Griffith who was the puncher he ever faced ...he wouldn’t say Rubin Carter ....he probably would have said Florentino Fernandez

Whatever the awful scoring in that bout i had curry dead even with nunn going into the 8th than as was the case after 1987 he faded fast.

Curry was a totally shot fighter at this point but he did well against nunn showed tremendous flashes of class.

Enough to make me think if he had been properly guided, rested, looked after a peak 1985 curry even giving up sise advantages wouldve taken nunn

Nunn looked very easy to hit in that bout.
