[YT]Y4KcmSFK10I[/YT] For me Kell Brook. Skill level wins it out, just needs some high level opponent to rubber stamp it. Who u got and why?
P4P Brits IMO: (1) Billy Joe Saunders (2) Carl Frampton (3) Lee Selby (4) Tyson Fury (5) James Degale Maybe play about with the order but those five are the best.
Frampton for me. Degale is 2nd but theres certain aspects to his style that he needs to wirk on. Id also like to see him rematch groves. To settle the loss
1)Tyson fury (unbeaten and beat wlad away) 2). Jamie Mcdonnel (his 2wims v Kameda make him best in hisndivision) 3). Carl Frampton (undefeated and unified champ) 4). Amir Khan ( beaten multiple world champs) 5). kell Brook (win vs porter but no ome since)
1) DeGale, 2) Fury, 3) Saunders, 4) Khan, 5) Frampton. Some will say Saunders shouldn't be there, but I really think he's a special, special boxer.
Anyone who would say Saunders doesn't deserve to be there obviously DKSAB. Hard to argue with that list, maybe not in that order though. Degale is some boxer, but I think he has fundamental flaws that need worked on before he can be considered the best SMW on the planet as someone stated above.
CEJ. He has just administered two of the biggest beatings against people who, let's not forget, everyone seemed to think were teak tough, really under-rated and well capable of taking him into the trenches and winning. On top of that won the interim world title in style. Instead we have one quitter on the stool and another who was dominated and bashed up but, happily, has avoided a far more serious tragedy that seemed possible at first. The BJS fight was this guys first 12 rounder, ffs. ANyone else and it would be all smiles and props for taking that fight in the first place. In fact CEJ chased it and got it and, were it not for inexperience, might well have won. The final 6 rounds of that fight were similar to the first six against Blackwell and Gary o sullivan. At some point you have to give this guy some serious credit.
Maybe when he avenges his loss to BJS or beats someone at a higher level. All he has now is a loss on his record after running his mouth and two respectable, but not spectacular wins.
Sorry mate, they were pretty spectacular. Half the wise sages here believed both of those fellas would beat him up and win. BJS is in his own right a great fighter. As above I think inexperience (to say the least - never fought over 12 before) was a big factor in that loss. I expect he'd quite like the rematch.
People were picking them to beat him but if people had their feelings aside for that I don't think they would have. Blackwell and Spike are ok to decent wins, but nothing more. They're both domestic level fighters. CEJ won both comfortably but if he considers himself world level then that's the least he should be doing. It may well be down to inexperience but he still lost. Until he either gets the rematch or makes his own ripples in the division it'll be purely speculative
Couldn't have said it any better. Not having a go at CEJ as I do think he'll go on to do well and is already carving out his own name in boxing - and i'm actually warming to him a bit. However, at the moment he shouldn't be anywhere near a top 5 British p4p list.
