Yeah it doesn't make sense considering Pac has beaten and lost to HOFers, nothing wrong with that. It happens to many ATGs. Pac beat did JMM and Morales x2 yet people want to overlook that. I don't understand why people make such a big deal on Pac's losses.

His most important career fights were Barrera I, Marquez I and Morales I. He went 1-1-1 in those fights.

Many ATGs lose their important fights like Duran, Tyson, Charles, Arguello, Chavez, Griffith, etc. You always seem to take a swipe at Pac for some of his losses when other ATGs have lost in even worse fashion.

Cotto and Thurman were also important fights.

Because when compared to pbf and people saying he's greater they have to be addressed and his h2h loss to pbf have to be brought up as well.

That's not good. If he was the GOAT as some of his fans claim then he had no business losing to a faded erik Morales. You simply can't have that type of loss.

When a fan worships an undefeated fighter, that 0 becomes all that matters.

I agree but I'm giving Ward benefit of the doubt...Ward benefitted from the Super Six yet his best wins there were Froch (already beaten by Kessler) and Kessler (already beaten by Calzaghe).I never liked the win against Dawson who was drained and clearly weakened. He only has a few fights at Light Heavy and two of those are controversial. So for me even though Joe gets stick for his resume it's clearly stronger than Wards without half the at home controversies that Ward had with being allowed to foul without issue.
Ward for me didn't have enough fights to prove that he was that Good and staying at home throughout his career kind of cements my position.

I'm doing it for comparison sake with pbf. Of course pac is a great fighter and a atg. I never said otherwise.

It's all subjective though. I have no issue with people rating Pac higher than Floyd if they're going to consider his weigh jumps and longevity, and also having wins over 6 HOFers (3 of them ATGs). Being the oldest WW champ is also a big deal. I have no issue with people rating Floyd higher as well. Again, all subjective.

I don't rate his win over Oscar or Morales. Oscar was clearly shot and Morales was faded and ripe for the picking. He also never beat jmm clearly imo. So that leaves him with wins over cotto and mab.

A guy whose best win is jacobs doesn't belong in this conversation.

You might not, but others will. And just because you think he didn't beat JMM doesn't beat he didn't beat him, much like Canelo and GGG, SRL and Hagler, Griffith and Rodriguez, etc. They all beat them in a close fight, that's what matters. When the dust settles Pac's accomplishments will be greatly appreciated even more as time goes on. And yes, the same will apply to Mayweather too.
Let's just appreciate both fighters regardless of who you prefer.

That's why I have great admiration for fighters of the past including fighters like Ezzard Charles, Kid Gavilan, Emile Griffith. Those guys have 20-30 losses and are still seen as one of the best.
