well i cant argue much of what you said. But I stil think this is a good fight 4 FLoyd. I kno you can remember be4 Floyd fought Delahoya there was a **** load of people saying hatton would woop him, and he is ducking Hatton etc. Now they got there wish. I personally hope after he woops hatton he fights Cotto, thats a fight I personally want to see. But if Floyd beats Cotto, you and I know he will still get discredited. I do agree that he is about to dismantle Ricky Hatton 4 all the reasons you stated.

I've been involved with the sport and have been a fan for longer than I can remember. I know how to pick fights and I know how to analyze fights. I picked the exact scores in my writeup that I will gladly send you for Calzaghe-Kessler. I also picked Pavlik to win in 7, so it seems as though you aren't the only qualified fight-predictor. No need to get hostile.

Also, I've seen many Hatton fights (Castillo, Collazo, Urango, Tszyu, Stewart, Oliveira, Tackie, Phillips, Smith, Rios, Magee, Pendleton, etc). I was at Hatton's fight against Gilbert Quiros at Fox Theatre in Detroit. I'm a fan of his and I've seen many fights to get a good picture of his style, strengths, and weaknesses.

Believe me, I would love to see Hatton beat the living **** out of Mayweather. But looking at styles and how they will come together in the ring on December 8th, you've got to go with Mayweather.

Well, personally, if Floyd beat Cotto and I stated it myself, then he gets massive credit and deserves his high regard and ranking.

Hatton is a worthless fight however and Hatton fanboys who really think he's going to win are ignorant, obnoxious ****s who know **** all about analysing a fight.

I suppose Hatton's always done well against skilled counter punchers with that open rough housing style of his.

 

Well, I sized him up pretty well with my analysis, several posters who know a lot about the sport agreed with that assessment. It's not even really needed though, Hatton's plain to the naked eye, he is what he is.

What do I not know about him? A face first rough housing swarmer who's comparable to a mini- John Ruiz with a higher workrate? That's spot on.

I have no idea what he knows about Hatton. I just don't think it does well to assume what people know about fighters. He tends to pick correctly in big fights. An he is swiss so you know how rowdy they get, .

 

I think that, that is a bit symplistic. He can box he has showed that in a number of his fights. He has a good jab when he uses it, it is just a bit short of arm so that could be a problem. I think Ricky will loose a descsion. Do you actually think that he will get beat that badly?

b - someone who knows a lot about both fighters.

I envision Hatton getting countered often and getting picked off with straight punches up the middle when he trys to get inside. I see him having big trouble dealing with the lateral movement of Mayweather. My pick is Floyd by decision (9-3).

 

I can see exactly where Amsterdam and Brooklyn are coming from but I still think Amsterdam is ridiculously underrating Hatton's chances.

I've tried looking at this from as unbiased view as possible and I still think Hatton can do it IF he can get in on the inside and set the fight at a frantic pace that Mayweather has never dealt with. The guy is a freak of nature, he will be hunting Floyd down all night, and will get caught numerous times but if he lands one of them body punches let's see how Floyd reacts.

Hatton's head movement and speed is underrated in my opinion and I wish people would stop mentioning the Collazo fight as everyone who's bothered to research knows he came in way too heavy for that fight.

This fight won't go the distance, 9 or 10 rounds and the winner will be determined by who's gameplan wins out in the first 6 rounds.

 

He will not win a single round, he will get cut up and brutalised and stopped.

I do, i think he is gonna get destroyed.
If you look at past Floyd fights, with fighters who tried to apply pressure to win. The thing they had was a jab. And that Ricky Hatton doesnt have, Hatton leads with his head, throws one shot and clinches. That strategy wont work against Floyd. Accurate puncher vs head exposed = dizzyness of the brain. There are other things that could b listed, but him not having a jab is gonna hurt him badly. Oscar was the bigger man than Floyd, and he couldnt win off just his size alone. when he used his jab it was very effective. But thats just to show you that Hatton has all the disadvantages in the fight
