Floyd should fight the best challenges available, that would not be Hatton. I suppose you are overrating Hatton at this point then, he's certainly not of P4P quality, that's for damn sure.

I use the Collazo fight as a specific example for the stylistic differences, some morons seem to think Hatton can effectively pressure Floyd, this is false, he can do little against Floyd stylistically and when he can't swarm or pressure at all, he will then revert to trying to box with Floyd, which we know how that will go.

Floyd should fight live WW's, even Kermit Cintron at this point would be better than Hatton.

I think Cintron would dispose of Hatton just as easily as he did Matthysse, and I think Hatton would have a hard damn fight with a Matthysse level Welterweight.

When did Hatton become a p4p destroyer? He's got to be the most overrated fighter in the sport and his fans worse than the Pac fantatics even.

The biggest issue with this fight is how easy Floyd will win, because of how limited Hatton is and especially at WW, but when Floyd wins every round and thrashes him with combinations, dumb fans will think that it was something special just because Hatton is wrongly ranked as one of the World's best P4P. It's SICKENING.

:patsch As "Danny in Withnail and I" says
    "...very,very foolish words!"
I think Hatton will give Floyd a decent workout but in no way shape or form dose he win this one.

I'll put it this way, it's only a bit above his win over Gatti at this point in time, in comparison to what he could have.

Only a fool would say a victory over Hatton counts more than any of the top WW's.

how many champions has cotto defeated for their title. You may not like haton but he has defeated champions before (in a very unpleasing dirty style). cotto has not:deal ricky is the ring/lineal champ @ 140 so no matter how much you don't like floyd beating an undefeated ring champ is a bigger feather then beating cotto at this point.

    floyd defeated:

    genaro hernandez
    Diego COrrales
    Jesus Chavez
    Jose Luis Castillo
    Zab Judah
    carlos Baldomir
    Oscar De La Hoya

are you trying to tell me cotto is a more dangerous fighter then anyone of these guys:rofl

what about kermit easily disposing of carlos baldomir, zab judah, and oscar de la hoya:hey

hatton once again has defeated a champion the only young gun to do that was paul williams. cotto and cintron picked up their titles in eliminators:deal

hatton is not a destroyer but he has earned the right to face floyd.

floyd has dominated 37 opponents are you saying any fighter floyd dominates is not a true victory worthy of praise:deal what type of ****** logic is that:admin

I agree with this list, the only 1 that poses a doubt in my mind is roy jones for the 90s.

My reason - I rate JC Chavez & Whitaker higher than roy jones p4p but the thing is, JC & pea were at their best from late 80s - early 90s therefore probably didnt do enough in either decade individually to get voted boxer of the decade, thats what gets me & there is no way around it.
Jones was lucky as he produced 90% of his best stuff in the 90s & thats the only reason RJJ has to get the nod here.

Ps. I also think SRR takes the 1940s EASILY, much clearer than he takes the 50s although I still give him that decade aswell.
