Best performance on British soil that is. I am going to restrict this to the last 15 years. We've had a good few over here in that time, and I feel that is enough to go on. There have been some really big names in that time: Winky Wright, Mikkel Kessler, Marco Antonio Barerra, Steve Molitor, Gerald McClellan etc. And, win or lose, they have delivered some very good performances. The shell of "Iron" Mike Tyson also made an appearance or two, but I won't include him because he was obviously past it. For my own personal preference I will throw Stevie Johnson's hat into the circle, since I feel, that in general, he is criminally underrated. I feel his dominating performance over Billy Schwer was a sublime masterclass by a quite brilliant boxer. Also worth a mention was Micky Wards tussle with Shea Neary; A really enjoyable slugfest of a fight. I know I am undoubtedly forgetting someone important; please point it out to me. So, what is your opinion?
If you mean on British soil............. Steve Molitor destroying Michael Hunter could be one, certainly one that seems to have slipped under the radar.
