Calzaghe versus Jones. Calzaghe was bloated, shot, and had Glass Hands, yet he still managed to maul Jones.
most recently, almost everyone thought that morales would be stopped by a beast named maidana considering that he was declared shot way back in late of 2006.
Oscar vs Mayorga deseves a mention. Oscar was so clearly declined... couldn't bounce on his toes anymore by this point as prime Oscar was so famous for... couldn't avoid a lot of the shots coming his way... but just went in there and pounded Mayorga out. Some good examples so far. I like Johnson/Willard, too. Johnson was ancient, undertrained and condemned by society but still managed to last a very long time in scorching heat. When you look at the way today's HWs concede defeat immediately, Johnson showed the pride of a true champion. I'd also say Hoya/Chavez II and Monzon/Griffith II, despite the fact that both men lost.
If you want to mention Hearns, I think his fight against Hill would be a better answer... Even then I would not say he was shot in both. Simply way past his prime but still good.
