How could I forget this man:

Eddie Perkins - beat 21-0 Clyde Gray with 14 losses on his record. Then beat future welterweight champ Angel Espada with 15 losses and then beat top contender Armando Muniz (twice) with 16 losses on the resume. Also, I would be remiss not to mention later that year he practically whitewashed Ryu Sorimachi over 10 rounds, yet, Sorimachi got the title shot a few months later. And another one a couple of years later.

Medina vs Harrison... Medina was 62-13. Harrison was 19-1. Done in hostile territory past Medina's own prime

Mexican flyweight Juan Diaz was 21-16-2 when he soaked up Charlie Magri's biggest punches and came back to win in six rounds in 1981. Magri went into the fight as the WBC No. 1 contender.

Bob Stallings beating Earnie Shavers and Mac Foster is worth mentioning.

OK, now that I have had my reading comprehension corrected... Jorge Castro had 10 losses when he KO'd Derrick Harmon in a WBA Light Heavyweight elimintator.

Conversely, Roberto Duran had 13 losses when he beat Jorge Castro who was a mere 18 months removed from a middleweight strap.
