The way Crawford completely shut down shut and quiet frankly ****ed him up for 9 rounds and then stopped him in the the 9th has to be one of the greatest title fight performances ever and it might be the greatest undisputed title fight performance ever.

I have a soft spot for the road warriors going into the lions den and coming out with the belt; Tate/knoetze. Vitali-hide. monzon-benvenuti and so on.

Fernando Vargas at 14-0 (14 KO'S) beating Yory Boy Campas 72-2 (62 KO'S) with an impressive display of skills and determination, and as the underdog.

Didn't I post on a thread similar the last few days? :)

Anyways, it depends on the critieria. Mine are that 1) it has to be a dominant performance, and 2) it has to be against a great or near-great in his prime or near-prime. Not ranked in order (but Duran v. Leonard is #1):

    Harada v. Famechon I
    Ali v. Liston I
    Ali v. Foreman
    Park v. Canto I
    Duran v. Leonard I.

McClellan wresting the middleweight title from Julian Jackson was pretty impressive. There was nothing tricky about his strategy. He just engaged in a fire fight with one of the top 3 hardest punching middleweights in history. He took a lot of bombs from The Hawk, but,, wouldnt be denied that night.
