Even still - the fact he was out of the ring for so long and went up to 160 and was even able to even hang with a fighter the calibre of Hagler is impressive.
Frazier beating Ali, the work rate alone of Frazier was breathtaking. The intensity and desire he showed that night was remarkable. Pac's first fight with Barrera, that was just shocking to see a top P4P fighter like MAB get so thoroughly dominated. Hearns KO of Duran, can't imagine anyone doing that do Duran, but it happened. Benn vs McClellen, Benn fought beyond himself and was never really the same again, literally gave it his all and defied the odds.
Smoke and mirrors. Hagler on the slide post Hearns and Mugabi, everything in his favour, tactics to steal rounds, corrupt judges, and he possibly put in a lot of work already behind the scenes. Sure, its still a great performance beside all that. But too many asteriks imo to label it one of the best performances ever if you look into it.
Hearn was so much bigger than Duran though Duran standing in front of Hearn shaking his head being overly macho & carelessly not even caring to defend himself while standing directly in front definitely made it allot easier for Hearn to land the final blow, Either way wrong strategy mixed with Machismo = No Good.
I don't think Benn fought beyond himself and was never the same boxer as much as it was that what happened to McClellan destroyed Nigel to the point where his passion for boxing was gone. Plus, there was all of this stuff going on in his personal life (substance abuse, partying, promiscuity).
Morales beating Pacquiao in 2005. He was expected to get smashed. Instead, he flipped the script, and went heads up with the feared phenomenon. When Manny attacked and put Morales against the ropes in the first round, Morales stood his ground, fired back and motioned to Manny, “alright ****er, let’s get it on”. Then he proceeded to whoop ass for the next 12 rounds.

I like very much roy jones vs toney. Mayweather vs corrales was amazing too. Wilfredo benítez vs cervantes was mindblowing too, 17 years ****ing old. He was attending highschool, man. Well, there are many... My favourite is barrera vs morales I. Yes, I know, there was no "outclass" there. But noone was outclassed because BOTH OF THEM performed like total beasts. This fight is hard to believe, I have never watched two guys performing like that.
