Hey great article thanks man, in Ernest!
Family legend, when my Sister was a little girl & we were in the car my Mother said it was raining in Ernest, & you might guess that she noted it was raining here too...My Brother also pretended not to have eaten cookies & when asked about certain crumbs, "juice crumbs" was the excuse...Some politicians today do not prevaricate any better.

Yes the measurements were fun even if unreliable. Carnera given his literal giganticism disorder would have the biggest fists. They overstated his height, some bouts were thrown without his knowledge-but he was literally a Strongman & had prodigious strength.

If Williams was hitting someone from the back seat, emotional, not able to get in clean shots-I could easily see him being unable to KO the officer. Is there any other plausible way he got those bruises? Williams being shot & nearly killed would make his memory unreliable.

He seems to have been like Liston in that he could be gentle & kind, the latter loved kids-but also had a dark side.
The Dr. wrote he learned lessons & became a better physician in dealing with the elderly-but the Big Cat was only 54 when they met.

Ali while never big compared to huge modern HWs had full legs-just a part of what gave him a great chin.

Primo also suffered from acromegaly which can cause the hand size to increase even more later in life. Andre The Giant was a poster boy for this condition.

I think the article you linked stated that Williams was actually sitting in the front passenger seat. They rolled and struggled on the ground so at the least that’s one possible explanation for the officer’s abrasions.

Williams obviously had some mental issues at any rate. Pulling out of a fight saying that God told him to and even having his wife call the police on him due to his harassing her at work. I mean, such erratic behaviours , including sudden spikes in aggression, can also be due to brain trauma from boxing but we will never really know.

I meant that his disease acromeglia is a form of Giganticism-I believe.
OK the ground struggle could have done this? Maybe.
I agree with your comment about boxing maybe or may not have caused the problems.

He means nice and well built, muscular, well defined, but not over the top like Ronnie Coleman.
Norton is a pretty good choice. Langford not so much, he was a short stocky guy

Have you lot been watching Joe Rogan today? he likes talking about mens bodies a lot. My old dear used to say that Ali had the best body and that's all I can add to this thread. I suspect my mothers was from an aesthetic were you chaps like the big jacked up epo HGH monsters. Each to there own.

Ali was very well purpose built for boxing. A good physique without excess bulk. Post exile, he did manage to return very close to his prior physique in the 2nd Norton and Frazier fights, hitting 212 lbs. Dancing weight as Ali called it, LOL.

Just recently I noticed on Boxrec that Ali is listed as being 201 1/2 lbs for the second Cooper fight in 1966. Is that right? Either side of that fight he's listed as being at least near 10 lbs heavier. It also lists him as 207 lb for the first fight back in 1963. I haven't the second fight for a good while, I suppose he might've looked slimmer but perhaps not that slim.
