At least I can try to get my Granddaughter back in here posting. She's a member but hasn't posted in a while, and she's a real boxing fan!

Floyd Jumbo Cummings was as ripped as hell when he nearly sparked out Big Frank. His back muscles in particular were huge. Bruno was outgunned on the the beach posing rights !!!

Great set of lungs on the last lady - a sign of excellent stamina. I bet she could go for hours…………working the pads, heavy bag, speed ball, sparring etc. @djanders I can’t thank you enough for bringing some equity to the subject - a few posts have had me squirming - there will be no antiquated, sexist gender lines drawn here!

Artur Beterbiev looks as if the skin is drawn to the monument; hardness.

Let me explain what I mean. Although both fighters are similarly and brilliantly built, Yi Long looks "harder" to me.

I looked this up, apprently Bruno insisted Jumbo hit him harder than Bonecrusher!
Now I rcall that Bruno weighed in at a pretty cut 247 vs. Tyson.
Checking their fight now, I see it was a 21 year old Bruno who was literally 30 lbs. lighter then. Bruno was actually marginally heavier & taller...

At his biggest he sems to have even more muscle than Cummings.

Right before the image where you asked about his height & weight & being so trim, you showed him from the Ike vs. Tua bout.
He was not 245 then but 235 lbs.
You go to his fight with Byrd you can hear the announcer opine at the start that it might not be his ideal weight (244.5).

Tua was less than 10 lbs. lighter-while not quite as lean, at 4" shorter he had at least as much muscle per square inch.
Likewise Tyson, slightly lighter than Tua, also ~ 5' 10" & a bit leaner.
Bruno was chiseled at 247-the point is not that none of these guys used PEDs, it is that we do not know.
With the right bone structure & natural androgen levels & adequate nutrition & excercise, some get to this level naturally.
Some before steroids were even invented-& without modern weight training, protein shakes, many meals a day...

Now if guys gain really fast while already strong, or approach the level of top professional body builders, then call them out as juicing.
But Ronnie Coleman or see here Big Ramy, Mr. Olympia the last 2 years & at 5'-9"-5'10" & a bit over 300 lbs. leaner than Ike ever was is-in how much muscle he is carrying-is like a different species.

Norton was the first to label Weaver as "Black Hercules", when they first trained together at the same. Norton is also the man who Weaver aside and explained to Mike that if he would take his boxing career more serious he could make something of himself.
