Ebays fine if you buy from a seller who deals mostly in sports memorabilia and has a good rating, least you can read about the seller which you can't do with sites like the one you posted

jo sports is run by Craig Hamilton who is apparently the foremost boxing memorabilia guy in the business, used to manage Michael Grant who fought Lewis and has been written about by Thomas Hauser so he's pretty kosher

thats unfortunate would have been a decent little item but i knew it would probably be too good to be true.

It all depends whose doing the authentication. Only buy from well established dealers.

If it's signed fight posters you're after then look no futher than

    www.KOfightposters.com

It's the largest fightposter site on the planet.

It's understandable to be a bit paranoid but some dealers arrange a signing with a certain fighter or buy in bulk from a rep yank company who usually have about 500 items signed + the way the economy is a the mo, alot of dealers need to shift the stock, make-em an offer you can afford & you'll more than likely get a result.

Craig Hamilton/JO Sports & Harry Schaffer/Antiquities of the prize ring are the 2 big beasts for old school gear. KOfightposters/Wright-memorabilia/Top Draw/Champs UK/boxing-memorabilia.com are the main ones in the UK that cover about everything in the modern era.

I've just got this 30in x 20in in signed by Manny from fight-graphs in Vegas.
