Sugar Ray vs Hearns is an obvious selection.

Let me choose Mayweather. When he took a brief knee after breaking his hand off the head of Hernandez , he was forced into an adapt or quit situation.

He couldn't quit or he'd suffer a technical stoppage loss.

His solution was turning southpaw , which initially failed. After losing a few rounds , he adjusted into the rhythm of fighting southie and took control of the fight again .. to win a Dec. I don't believe Floyd ever fought southie outside of that fight.

Great boxers can adapt and over come injuries to gain the victory.

Ali, of course. Pryor showed that skill against Alexis when everyone thought the ringsmarts was a big advantage to Arguello.

Floyd and Whitaker were know for pot shorting, but when the time came and they were forced to fight inside they excelled there as well.

Leonard against Duran second time round becoming a pot shorter.

Ali fought so many different strategies he has to be mentioned.

Louis wasn't quite able to outbox Walcott in the rematch as he had done first time out, so he started going for the knockout and was able to force the stoppage.
