Tyson was sparring with grown men by that time and tells a tale of some Irish journeyman heavyweight really hurting him with a body shot.

At age 15, I think he's in trouble vs anyone decent. Tyson however, was one of those types to mature early. By 18 he could have beaten top ten fighters.

Some strange anwers on this thread.
"No fit full grown trained man" .... is ludicrous. Some people have no concept of freakish elite talent.

Anyway, it's probably right to say 15 year old Tyson doesn't beat anyone who we should have heard of, not at heavyweight anyway.

He'd beat Hector Mercedes no problem though, and better ones than that too probably.

I think he could have plowed through trial horse types and lower tier journeymen without much effort. Big, strong, freakishly fast and maybe most importantly, fearless.

He'd be too raw and possibly not the finished article physically to beat name fighters, but there is no doubt in my mind he'd have cut a swathe through the chaff of the division.

He'd also easily clobber pretty much any guy on the street too.

    Yes you are right.

Tyson definitely beats average Joe, and Hector Mercedes who is hardly better than Joe:lol:

He also beats some Robert Colay or Sterling Benjamin probably even at 15.

But if he fights Tillis from 1986, he'd get beaten pretty easily, and that Tillis was far from world championship type of HWs.

probably very few to almost none with the exception of some of boxing's worst tomato cans.. Literally guys who just climb into the ring just to say " I did it" and for no other reason. A 15 year old kid has no real business fighting full grown professional athletes.. Of course there have been exceptions to the rule such as Roberto Duran who turned pro at 15, but again, he was fighting boxing's worst in the early years many of whom were probably close to his age, and not in the heavyweight division where there is no size limitation.

Tyson would definitely beat your average man or probably any full grown man at 15. Don't see him beating any pro's though especially in the heavyweight division where everyone is going to be just as big and bigger than he is and more experienced.

I apologize. I'm sure a teenage Tyson could beat someone better than Morrison.
