Now tell me that ain't a hard one that you've seen and participated in before! So many different KO guys over the years.atsch
Heavyweight: Earnie Shavers Cruiserweight: David Haye (Rocky Marciano if you want to count him as a CW) Light Heavyweight: Bob Foster Super Middleweight: Nigel Benn or Gerald McClellan Middleweight: Gerald McClellan Light Middleweight: Julian Jackson Welterweight: Thomas Hearns Featherweight: Naseem Hamed (or Sandy Saddler) Super Bantamweight: Wilfredo Gomez Bantamweight: Carlos Zarate Strawweight: Ricardo Lopez I'll think about the lower weight classes that I missed...
Perfect list.:good The only difference imo would be at featherweight. Saddler was a heavy hitter, but not alltime best at that weight imo.
Great List, but I would put Arguello at Feather, and you forgot Lightweight. I might have to put Rosario there, plus I would say Sammy Langford would get the nod at 160.
He's right up there in both weight classes, but I haven't seen much footage of him to say he hit harder than Gerald McClellan at 160 or Bob Foster at 175.
He was never more than a middleweight and he consistently knocked heavyweight contenders, including Tom Sharkey. Here's an interestin piece of information. From this article. http://coxscorner.tripod.com/fitz.html I'd also contend that Stanley Ketchel was a harder punching middleweight than Mclellan, looking at both of their records, even though there's no good footage of Ketchel.
While Pavlik definitely has worldclass pop,...it is way too premature to mention him as the best puncher in the history of the middleweight division:-(
