Great post. 11 years later and he’s still at the top of the ladder. He also has become rather buff recently. This content is protected
I only started using this forum relatively recently and initially thought a lot of the stick he got was unfair but his behaviour in the last few months has been bizarre. Who spends late night hours reading through 5-10 year old threads looking for something they can use for a "win"? Utterly strange behaviour.
Eddie Hearn is the greatest promoter in the UK. I would have never believed people would have posters of him on their walls.
His current record stands at 13 years for bumping a thread. Out of curiosity I wondered how many pages he went back to bump that thread so I typed in page 1000 at the top and that only took me to 2011 so he’s gone back about 1200 pages in the middle of the night to find threads about Hearn and Matchroom. Absolute mentalist behaviour. Getting banned for obsessing over a promoter has to be a first on here.
Surely he is employed by Matchroom and it is his job to promote and spin good news. If not and he is only a boxing fan, then digging out threads from over 10 years ago is quite disturbing to prove a point on a boxing forum. Hope he is OK and back soon.
Theres a search function mate. He'll probably be typing in 'Hearn', 'Matchroom' or whatever in the search and not literally going back a thousand pages! Bumping old threads can be a fun and interesting thing to do on forums, and it's allowed. But I agree he was doing it too much.
Joking aside, h I probably would have bitten at some of his trolling attempts in the past, not so much these days though. Maybe as I'm a bit older I see things with a slightly different perspective, his recent activity has been unusual, but I'm not going to mock him, he may be going through a lot at the moment. Hopefully the ban will give him a chance to have a think about things.
I did think that but it’s not like ‘Hearn’ is a rarely used word on here. It will have still took a big effort
Agree with this. I got a ridiculously strong admonishment by them over a typo the other night (something along the lines of "do your research before responding to me"), clearly angling for a fight. I try and think of the person behind the posts, so stepped back. It helped that they actually didn't dispute my underlying point, just the typo. It's difficult to know with this poster whether it was a real person or a troll. Given the intensity of posting and ludicrous dredging up of old threads, I lean towards the former so wish them well. Their RBR contributions especially were first class, showing a real passion and interest in boxing.
Not like Hearn is a word that's rarely typed on here though mate. Would have still took some effort. It's always in the middle of the night too. He's either a student with insomnia or a smackhead
