    Who would you guys say is the best prospect in British boxng at the moment. On FFN and Setanta etc we have seen some decent young fighters coming through the ranks - I was wondering who people are targeting to reach the top.

    Intermediate Fighters - guys who have received recognition and are fighting 10/12 round fights and winning belts etc

    Darren Barker
    Amir Khan
    Kevin Mitchell
    John Murray

    Junior fighters - guys with less than 15-20 fights, 6/8 rounders

    Nathan Cleverly
    Paul Appleby
    Kell Brook
    John Fewkes
    Aakash Bhatia

    Any other names?

    I'm no big fan of Kahns but I'd like to hear arguments why he isn't the best prospect in that list? Other than the usual ones.....that you hate Frank Warren and Khan is a tosser....

    none of the above have fought a guy better than Earl, let alone Khans last 2, and he knocked them out.

    This Hayes guy has not even fought yet so lets give it a while yet.

    Perhaps an idea would have been to have a thread about all british prospects other than Khan....

    That way we may actually get to discuss the merits of other fighters without it getting hi-jacked by Khan fans and critics.

    I'm a bit disappionted in our prospects at the moment, Khan is the only one who looks anything special at all.

    A few years ago when guys like Matthew Macklin and David Barnes were turning pro they looked really good imo, they looked a lot better than the guys at that level now.

    It's not great but I'm glad we've got Khan, and Kevin Mitchell is exciting.

    Mitchells good to watch but I really think he'll come unstuck at the next level, I hope I'm wrong.

    I like kahn and i am sick of people giving him ****, he is not my favourite fighter and he is overhyped by some sectors but i don't like how people give him **** and want him to lose becuase he gets hyped up.

    Thats not really practical mate....;)

    Khan is'nt the best ever prospect (does anyone here actually claim that?), but IMHO he's the best at the moment by some distance.

    if you go on amir khan forums all you hear is how muh they love khan, if you did a poll of khan and tyson it would come up 2% tyson and 58% khan. Thats why when khan steps up probably all of you on here will give him some genuine credit

    people want to see khan gettin praised every second. He aint beat no1, all of the fighters hes beat he probably could of beat when he was 17 or as an amateur.. theres loads of fighters that could batter khan, hes being made out to be amazing. He looks good beating **** fighters. People get hyped up because barry mguigan said he was world class, and john rawling
