Dude, I ****ing grabbed my own jaw in the 6th after that huge crack from Agbeko. I was surprised Mares will still standing after that one. I swear I thought he had broken Mares' jaw. you could hear the whole audience go oooooooooooohhhhhhhhh. Also great job of Mares puttting together his combinations at times, it was quite nice. Without the low blows and shitty refereeing not at all a bad fight for tonight. Unfortunately boxing fans are never that lucky.

With all the subsequent bull****, I'd almost forgotten about that.

Yeah, at the time it seemed we were on the cusp of a knockout.

Brother, he was landing that right with regularity in the mid-rounds, and
if not for the nuthooks, he woulda had the legs to do more than buckle
that cholo's knees. In a re-match under fair conditions he stops that
    muchacho.

yeah but I think he was hesitant and not sure if Mares was truly hurt, he fought a pretty controlled fight not really agressive but excellent counterpunching and jabbing. Pretty wild with the hooks at times though, you could tell he had trouble with his balance.

Mares uppercut to the nuts was the punch of the night. Perfectly thrown and landed, with stunning precision. It should be taught to all of our young up and coming boxers.

It was very similar to the overhand bomb Shane landed on Floyd, down to the knock-kneed legs buckling and failure to finish the hurt opponent.
