If anything Dawson has been talking about moving down to 168 to get the big names there. Don't think he would move up since 168 after Pavlik and Taylor get there will be the hot division.

Proves how much bull**** the yanks spout on here then eh?

Would draining down to 168 be sensible really? He looks a pretty big guy to me. Could definitely struggle if he is in any way weight drained against Pavlik. I'm not sold on his chin

Dawson has fought at 168 and as little as 160 before he can make 168 fairly easy. He's thinking about making the move because he can't get the big names at 175 to fight him and there are more big names at 168 than at 175. As for Kelly, Dawson would be a stylistic nightmare for Pavlik.

Well I don't rate Pavlik at all, so if Dawson can easily make 168 (I find that hard to believe, looking at him at the moment) it shouldn't be a problem

The only big name at LHW is Hopkins, and it's pretty obvious the fight is going to be made with Calzaghe. Nobody knows **** all about Erdei. Then there is Clinton Woods, nothing amazing, but better than most of the guys Dawson has fought to be honest

I don't see the rush to get all these big fights if he is as young and has the potential yanks say he has. Fight the Woods/Tarvers/Erdei's of this world

Come on, Ricky doesn't deserve to be in that company

And Harris isn't exactly unorthodox, he just doesn't have much talent

I doubt yanks spout anything more than anyone else. I also doubt that you have seen much if any talk of Dawson moving up to CW and HW and dominating. More like one poster probably, and you are using it as an excuse to bash "yanks".

No, I'm not actually making it up. I've seen talk of Dawson moving up to cruiser and heavy, and winning titles, if not dominating. I'm glad you can see how stupid it sounds...

Then I hear somebody else chiming in with how he's the future of boxing, and I just had to put these delusions of grandeur in check

He's got skill, but he's also been decked by a weight drained Adamek, so there is plenty of work to do if he is to achieve those lofty heights

I certainly see that it's a stretch for Dawson to move to HW (CW is doable years down the line, he is 6'3). However, I have seen very little if any talk of this from anyone, and as I said, I believe the way you are presenting it is a bit of an exaggeration, for I often see you criticizing "yanks" for doing the same thing that "brits" do with their own fighters, and this looks like another one of those times (you cannot deny you do this, you have already done so in this thread)

Dawson may very well be the future of boxing. Calling it delusional is a bit short sighted IMO, considering he is improving and certainly has the skills to continue winning. It's odd that you feel the need to put others in check, but are argumentative with those who feel the need to do so with you. Not odd actually, but seems as you would understand their point of view, considering your own.

You are a bit of a drama queen aren't you?

I like to go fishing on here. There are always a few easy catches

    Relax

P.S. Chad Dawson is the best boxer in the history of the universe, he is obviously going to clear out LHW, beat the great Joe Calzaghe, briefly appear at cruiserweight before he realises that those guys don't even deserve to share a ring with him, culminating in him moving up and knocking out Wlad in 2

Always a pleasure to expose the agendas of others. I would gather you would know a bit about being a drama queen, considering you're always whining about the dissrespect Calzaghe receives. Perhaps a bib and a hanky are in order here?

I'm so sorry, I was only joking as well.....your sarcasm leads me to believe I have you riled a bit. It wasn't my intent.

(Do you want to have an actual discussion here, or is name calling your last resort when leaps in logic and exaggeration don't win the day?)

You obviously take these forums far more seriously than me if you think I'm actually arsed what some spastic yank has just said. Doesn't bother me in the least

I come here to talk about boxing occasionally, and wind a few people up. Yanks are much more succeptible to this, due to them being dumb. They also know very little about the sport itself, which is a disadvantage, on a boxing forum

I think you're quite bothered actually, considering the contents of your post. Always amusing when someone says he doesn't care all the while responding with insults.
