    Your post.

Leonard could have only four fights and four fights only in Benitez, Duran, Herans, and Hagler and it would be a better resume than Pac's, or Mayweather's.

It wouldn’t. Leonard didn’t exactly wash those guys.

    1. He lost to Duran because he fought a stupid fight and let Duran in his head. Had Leonard simply boxed to an 11-4 win in Montreal like he should’ve (and other great welters could’ve) the nostalgists wouldn’t have a “No Mas” story to look back fondly on. Leonard is given extra credit for a fight he should’ve won.
    2. He also has a controversially draw with Hearns that most think he lost.
    3. He received favorable scoring against Hagler under additional favorable circumstances. He didn’t give the rematch.

We can all knit pick anyone's resume, including Pacquiao, and Mayweather's.

This is about resume, not individual fights.

That’s my point. Leonard has decidedly less longevity than Duran, Mayweather, and Pacquiao.

Duran probably has the best win out of any (Montreal). Leonard has the second best win (Hearns). The other best wins of the four are pretty interchangeable.

Mayweather has the most time as the best in the sport, and I suspect beat more titlists, contenders, and guys on the pfp list than the others, and without a loss.

Manny is a unique fighter who moved up from the tiny weightclasses and may not be done yet.

I know, but Leonard has a prime Duran as well as a bunch of others, Duran's résumé is far from shoddy tho

If you look at just names he's beat (i.e without any context) he has a very impressive résumé. But if you put them into context, like Khan being a Welterweight and Cotto, Mosely and GGG being past their prime or the controversy around some of his wins, then he shouldn't be, but someone else has pointed out that others were removing context from it so imo it's fair

Mayweather was better than Duran was when they were both in their late 30`s and he was better than Manny at that stage too, he aged beter than both of those fighters even taking into account he was fighting at a lighter weight than Duran was at that age respectively.

GGG would have given any middle in history a very hard fight, he was better than anyone Hagler fought except maybe Hearns.

Duran moved up to light middle in `82 and stayed above welter for the rest of the decade giving away a huge reach advantage everytime.

GGG would have landed more punches on Hagler than Ray did in `87.
