    Agreed on Mills Lane. No B.S. with him.
    Wasn't Smoger the referee who kept telling Lou Savarese to get up between numbers? "Six! Get up! Seven! C'mon, get up! Eight!"

    Steve Smoger is the GOAT.

    I dont remember any big mistake he made in a fight not only that but the number of great fights he was involved is ridiculous.

    Your winking guy says it all. I watched a video recently, something like "When boxing referees lose control," and Perez was a referee who kept letting fights go on too long. Cooney-Norton and Mercer-Morrison were named.

    In the scorecard thread Scar complained multiple times about Perez, I agreed with his takes on (iirc) Canizales vs Chandler and Tatsuyoshi vs Richardson. I was making a little joke.

    Either way, I agree that Perez is a terrible ref. Let's fight go on too long, is a constant unnecessary annoyance, and is often in the way.
