True. Holmes was an all time great but he does n't have many quality fighters on his list

Muhammad Ali beat 5 Lineal HW Champs... Patterson x2, Liston x2, Frazier x2, Foreman, and L. Spinks. He also beat HW title holders Terrell, Ellis, and Norton x2.

Joe Louis beat 5 Lineal HW Champs... Schmeling, Sharkey, Carnera, Braddock, and Walcott x2 but did you know that......

Holyfield beat more Lineal HW Champs than any other fighter. He beat 7... Foreman, Holmes, Tyson x2, Douglas, Bowe, Moorer, and Rahman. He also had a draw with Lineal HW Champ Lennox Lewis.

He also beat HW title holders... Thomas, Dokes, Mercer, Ruiz, and Botha. I think it's worth mentioning that he was robbed vs. WBA HW Champ Valuev at age 46 as well.

I also think his CW resume is worth mentioning. Many of the great HWs from years past were actually CWs. At CW Holyfield went 18-0 (14) overall and 6-0 (5) in World title fights. He beat Hall of Famers Qawi x2 and Deleon. He also beat Ocasio, Parkey, Booze, and Tillman among others.

    One more thing...

Holyfield won his first 28 fights, 22 by KO, going 10-0 (7) in World title fights and 5-0 (2) vs. Hall of Famers during this stretch. He did not lose until he was 30 years old.

Holmes beat Lineal Champs Ali and L. Spinks. For what it's worth he was robbed in the rematch vs. M. Spinks (who was the Lineal HW Champ at the time)... but maybe he shouldn't have lost to Spinks at all. He gave Lineal Champ Holyfield a few problems when he was 76 years old.

He also beat HW title holders Norton, Weaver, Witherspoon, Smith, Berbick, and Mercer. He lost by a point to WBC Champ McCall when he was 137 years old.

    He was robbed vs. Nielsen.

Solid wins vs. Shavers x2, Cooney, Snipes, Ocasio, LeDoux, Leroy Jones, Zanon, Cobb, Williams, and others.

Yeah, Holyfield didn't duck anybody. He pretty much fought them all, much like Ali. I can't, off the top of my head, think of any notable 90's heavyweight he didn't tangle with (except maybe Golota).

Damn, I sure did. That's right he had one more than Ali and one less than Holyfield. He also beat LHW Champs Billy Conn x2 and John Henry Lewis. He also beat one of the best fighters to never get a world title shot, Hall of Famer Jimmy Bivins. All time great without a doubt!
