Hopkins couldn't find a way to beat Taylor TWICE.

blame that on Hopkins' body, not his brain. Alot of people think that he could have simply stepped it up earlier but he is smart enough to know that if he opens up against a young gun like Taylor before Taylor loses his stamina he will get hit with big shots considering his (Hopkins) reflexes and overall speed are much slower now that he is 41 years old. Hopkins pretty much showed us in those 2 fights than in his prime he ****ing handles Taylor, takes him to school and gives him detention

Mayweather has unreal athletic ability (and amazing ring smarts, but not as good as Hopkins)

Bhop... I think he has less tools to work with, and is forced to use the ole noggin more.

And the other problem I have is, when Hopkins headbutts, clinches, punches and holds etc, that apparently he means he has a high Ring IQ and is a master of the ring.

When Hatton clinches or Cotto low blows, it's because they're cheats and don't know how to win clean....

There is a difference. See how against Cortez Hatton's tactics backfired against him? Hopkins would never allow that to happen. Cotto has also had some points deducted for low blows and came close to being DQ'd.

The only time Hatton was really able to clinch and wrestle and do all those dirty tactics in a bigtime fight was when he fought Tszyu, and the ref was obviously bought off.

B-Hop and then there is everyone else. If PBF can beat P4P guys past the age of 40 when his immense talents have declined, then you can make a case for PBF.

With the amount of stamina BHop displayed in both Taylor fights, I believe he could have stepped it up earlier. Both times it was a matter of "too little, too late." I reckon BHop has better stamina than Taylor, anyway.

He was just "ring stupid" in those fights.

I want to say BHop b/c he wins fights with a lesser array of tools than PBF, but then again, I could not believe that for the Taylor rematch, he fought the EXACT same way!

    toss up...

One of the reasons why i like watching B-Hop is that he takes advantage of everything he can get away with. He doesn't miss a thing. He's always aware of what he can get away it. That is ring intelligence and ring savvy in itself. Most guys don't have that type of awareness every second they are in the ring.

Hopkins, he doesnt have the talent like Mayweather but he is so smart in the ring it almost makes up for it.
