I had money on Joe to win in the 10th round (33/1 too!). But being ringside that night, I remember not even wanting to win my bet and have them pull Lacy out around the 7th. Absolute **** corner work.
I agree that he definitely should have been pulled out. His corner were terrible throughout the fight and probably cost Lacy his career at the top level by keeping him in there for the full 12 rounds.
I think what capped things off was when JC went back to his corner after a round or 2 and said something along the lines of "he aint got ****".
I think it would've been better for him if JC was a puncher, it would've been over quicker instead he got a sustained more damaging beating. I'd go for Herol Graham vs Sanderline Williams or Ayub Kalule.
I remember Martinez really giving Williams a going over in their second fight. Uncomfortable to watch at times.
that was my choice, i thought i was gonna be far out and find a not so obvious answer. what was more special was how dodson was considered a good southpaw boxer/slickster. wasnt the jab punchstats for winky somthing like a 50% hit rate. it was the last fight kotv gold showed
