Tyrell Biggs winning a fight with a broken collarbone.

Henry Armstrong fighting without a mouthpiece in the latter rounds, having 30 something stitches, swallowing all that blood, and still beating Ambers.

Tommy Morrison knocking out Joe Hipp with a broken jaw and injured/broken hand.

Gene Fullmer is said to have fought a couple rounds with a broken arm against Florentino Fernandez.

Rocky Marciano coming from behind on the cards to win the title against Jersey Joe Walcott, after suffering a cut and being blinded by a solvent. Also rallying to stop Ezzard Charles in the rematch with that disgusting cut on his nose.

Meldrick Taylor was said to have swallowed 2 pints of blood against Julio Cesar Chavez, and also suffered horrendous facial swelling (one article I read said he suffered a fracture).

The examples go on and on.

Yes, this. The shoulder was actually dislocated, not for the first time in the fight. Vitali suffered a less serious injury and quit against the far smaller Chris Byrd. No Vitali hate, just saying Danny has the ATG BALLS.

It was a good show of heart but the mouthpiece tactic never sat well with me.

 

Yes,didn't help him with Vitali.

And Potter ain't Byrd either.

 

I know Potter aint Byrd and I know Vitali pounded Danny but Danny has a MASSIVE heart noone can deny that. No need to focus on who was winning etc, the thread is about HEART.
